Guidelines for Field Trip Participants

  1. Bring your own water and snacks and wear appropriate footwear for the destination.
  2. Be courteous to the other participants. Try not to block the views of others. If using a shared spotting scope, observe the target bird briefly before giving others a chance to look. Return to the scope for a second view after everyone has had an initial opportunity.
  3. Stay together as a group. Do not walk far ahead of the trip leader or lag too far behind.
  4. Please refrain from playing bird sound recordings or “pishing”. The trip leader will determine whether or not those actions are appropriate during the walk.
  5. Inform the trip leader if you need any special accommodations or if you need to leave early.
