Guidelines
1. Younger Lagoon Reserve is a protected natural area for research and teaching only. Recreation is not allowed.
2. All visitors must have a current waiver on file. Forms for the waiver can be downloaded via the pdf file below.
3. Please send the completed waiver to Reserve Manager Elizabeth Howard prior to your visit and request the entry code to the overlook shelter. Scanned email attachments may be sent to Elizabeth at eahoward@ucsc.edu. Hard copies may be mailed to Elizabeth at 100 Shaffer Rd, Santa Cruz, CA, 95060.
4. Visits must be limited to the overlook shelter only. Please do not explore beyond the shelter. Please defer use of the shelter to tours, class visits and researchers as needed.
5. Please sign in and lock the gate behind you–even if you are only planning a short visit.
6. Reserve staff love to hear about exciting sightings! Please email Reserve Manager Elizabeth Howard at eahoward@ucsc.edu if you see or hear something thrilling.
